Tsitsi Mashayenyi (nee Kurupati) is a human rights activist specialised on the rights of women and sexual rights of the key populations. She wrote articles which are yet to be published on the nexus between payment of bride-price and women’s unpaid care work responsibility. Being a prison officer and having worked with male inmates for more than 17 years, she is also writing articles on the sexual rights and protection of men who willingly have sex with men in prison to contain the spread of HIV and AIDS within the prison community and the outside world at large. Tsitsi has attained a Master of Science Degree in Development Studies at the National University of Science and Technology, Zimbabwe, and a Bachelor of Science Honours Degree in Community Development Studies at Women’s University in Africa, Zimbabwe. While she was in the second year of her Bachelor of Science Degree in Community Development, Tsitsi was awarded an Econet’s Joshua-Qhabuko Nkomo Scholarship for an outstanding academic performance.

My name is Obey Chibanda and I am a recent university graduate with a Bachelor’s Hons Degree in Psychology. I was born on 26th August 1994 in Mutoko General Hospital. I attended my primary education at Chitekwe Primary School in Mutoko. I did my secondary school at Kaunye Secondary School and I did my Advanced level at Bondamakara High School in Mutoko and completed in 2014.

I graduated from the Midlands State University in 2020. I did my internship at Chikurubi Farm Prison from Aug 2018-Dec 2018 and at Ministry of Women Affairs, Small and Medium Enterprise Development from Jan 2019-July 2019. The internship period equipped me with excellent skills in handling women issues, sustainable community development issues and psychosocial counselling issues. My particular research interests are in Sexual Reproductive Health Rights and Sexual Gender Based Violence.

Kumbirai Auxillia Madondo

Kumbirai Auxillia Madondo is a registered Legal Practitioner, Conveyancer and Notary Public who holds a Bachelor of Law Honors Degree (LLB) from Great Zimbabwe University. Currently she works with one of the nation’s big law firms, Nyawo Ruzive Legal Practice as an Associate. She was previously employed at Danziger and Partners, Masawi and Partners as a Professional Associate and also worked with Wise Owl Legal Aid society as a Legal Practitioner. Her main areas of interest are Commercial law, Civil Litigation, International Trade Law and investment law. Besides being a professional, she also likes writing articles, playing golf and volleyball.

Menelisi Sidumiso Linda

Menelisi Sidumiso Linda

Menelisi Sidumiso Linda was born in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe and grew up and did her studies there. Thereafter she pursued her Bachelor of Laws Honors Degree with the Great Zimbabwe University. She is currently a Legal Practitioner, Conveyancer and Notary Public registered with the law society of Zimbabwe. She is currently engaged with a local Non- governmental organization on a project that advocates for an end to Gender Based Violence. Professionally her interests are drawn to civil litigation, commercial law, and human rights advocacy. She is passionate about and highly sensitive to matters concerning children and people living with disabilities .Growing up she was an avid reader whose interests in reading were cultivated by her mother who was a teacher and bought her her first novel at age 5. She then tried out her hand at research and creative writing and at age 13 she began writing poems and short stories as a pastime. Besides research, reading and writing, Menelisi also enjoys dancing, traveling, trying out new cuisines and is daringly adventurous.

Olida Ruvimbo

Olida Ruvimbo once worked at Seke Rural Home Based Care as a Social Work intern from 2017-2018. Her clients were young people, sex workers ,young people living with HIV , women and the community at large. She is capable of doing counselling,community mobilisation ,group work facilitation, peer education and youth empowerment, research and data collection and data capturing. She is also capable of doing case management and conducting follow ups on different cases, providing psychosocial support and also doing monitoring and evaluation. She also worked with Primson Services from December 2017- March 2018 as an enumerator. From October 2017- August 2018 she was working with National AIDS Council as a representative of Youth in Care under the Young People's Network Program.

Advocating for the vulnerable, solving problems and caring for the needy is her inspiration. Educating young people on SRH and making them change on their poor health seeking behavior is her goal.Empowering young people to do income generating projects provides her with enormous gratification.

She got successful in her field by educating young female sex workers on SRH and it changed the health seeking behavior of a few.

WILLIAM NDIYA

WILLIAM NDIYA

Accomplished and intelligent young Economist aged 25 with a significant amount of expertise in public and private sector. Possesses indepth knowledge of complex economic concepts, mathematics and marketing and adept at applying theories and ideas in real world situations. Strong understanding of business finance, economic planning and data interpretation. Again, posses a greater appreciation of health economics and gender related issues, also an advocate for feminism upraising. Have greater interest in research in which i managed to produce three papers up to now (2021) based on health economics, rural development and mining development. Since i graduated in 2019 December, managed to sit on several board meetings at Pertonardy Chartered Accountants on which i contributed on corporate governance and management styles. I also conducted some tutoring activities to students on subjects namely business economics, business management and health economics as well as research methodologies. Excellent communicator and interpersonal skills and able to work effectively alone or with others. Capable of using economic principles to predict market and consumer behaviour on both long and short term basis. I am a holder of Bachelor of Commerce Honors Degree in Economics (2019), Now pursuing Master of Arts Degree in Development Studies (2021) with the hope of taking the studies further.
