SAYWHAT Quiz and Speak and Solve Initiative (SASI) Debate Challenges

For years, SAYWHAT Quiz and SASI Debate Challenge have grown beyond mere competitions. They have evolved into powerful advocacy platforms that engage students

– the future decision-makers, innovators, and professionals, in thought-provoking conversations on gender equity, health, and education.

These events provide students an opportunity to test their knowledge, refine their perspectives, and influence social change.

Each year, both competitions featuring national universities enjoy nationwide and regional television broadcast, extending their reach beyond participating universities and Zimbabwe’s borders.

Platforms such as 3ktv, Mindset Channel on DStv, and ZTN have televised the challenges, ensuring a wide audience engages with critical discussions on health and education. Each year’s editions, for example, aired as 16-week episode series, collectively reaching an estimated weekly audience of 480,000 viewers a testament to the growing visibility and impact of student-led discourse on key issues.
