The research Indaba was launched in 2022, positioning students as evidence-based advocates contributing to informed policy recommendations.
Annually a cohort of 15 students is enrolled into the Young Researchers Initiative Programme (YRIP) who are empowered on research methodologies, to conduct structured and systematic enquiries on public health, education, and child protection that advance evidence-based advocacy on the right platforms and improve their health outcomes.
The Research Indaba is one of the many platforms created to allow young researchers to interact with academia, policymakers, development partners to present their research findings and recommendations influencing policy reforms with evidence.
