SAYWHAT Young People Volunteer Network focuses on fostering collective change and creating a lasting impact through diverse groups of volunteers. We bring together in-school students aiming to complement their academic and career goals, recent graduates seeking practical experience, and international students looking for development opportunities uniting different perspectives and skills towards a common goal. Applicants are selected from Social Sciences (including Development Studies, Monitoring and Evaluation, Human Resources, Journalism, and Communication) and commerce (including Finance, Auditing, and Marketing).

In school Volunteers

  • Selection is open for students on attachment during the periods of June – August and January – March.
  • Priority is given to student members actively involved in peer education on their campus.

Out of School Volunteers

  • Selection is open to recent graduates during October and December for placement in the following year.
  • Priority is given to youth members who were actively engaged in peer education as student members during their campus journey.

Community Volunteers

  • Selection is open to individuals who are passionate about serving their communities and eager to gain valuable experience in development work throughout the year.
  • Opportunities are offered according to specific needs within various communities ensuring motivated individuals can contribute meaningfully while developing their skills and understanding of grassroots development.

International Volunteers

  • Selection is open to students from all over the world year-round, with a preference for candidates with social science or public health backgrounds.
